California Proposition 65

Attention California Residents

We believe our products are not harmful when used as designed. We provide the warning in order to comply with this California right-to-know law.

California's Proposition 65 entitles California consumers to special warnings for products that contain lead and other chemicals known to the state of California to cause cancer and birth defects or other reproductive harm if those products expose consumers to such chemicals above certain threshold levels. We absolutely take these inquiries seriously so please allow us to shed a bit more light on this particular labeling and how it relates to you.

Proposition 65, otherwise known as the "Safe Drinking Water and Toxic Enforcement Act of 1986", is a California state labeling law that requires businesses, like us here at Smoko, to notify its California customers of the presence of a significant amount of any of the 800+ chemicals that the State of California has deemed may be hazardous to your health. Here are some important points to take into consideration regarding this proposition:

1) Prop 65 is not a health and safety statute.

2) The presence of a Prop 65 warning on one of our products does not necessarily mean that the product is unsafe or hazardous to your health

In accordance with Proposition 65, we issue the following warning to our customers, just in case one of our products may contain one of the over 800 chemicals listed on Prop 65. Please note, the exposure to these chemicals may be of no significant risk to you, but out of caution, we have elected to place this warning to make sure our customers are informed and to help you with your buying decision.

Please note by posting this Proposition 65 warning, we are notifying you that one or more of the Proposition 65 listed chemicals may be present in a product.
